Keeping the Heart of Mother Care
Join us at a very special conference bringing the best midwifery and birth professionals together to share knowledge and ways they keep the heart of mother care into their practices and teaching.
In addition to dynamic general sessions, there will be three simultaneous tracks
of workshops to choose from: for MCH educators, midwifery, and birth professionals.
Featured Speakers
Bonnie Gruenberg, CNM, WHNP, MSN, the author of the award-winning book Birth Emergencies Skills Training (BEST) Manual for Out of Hospital Providers, (2008, BirthMuse Press) and Essentials of Prehospital Maternity Care (2005, Prentice Hill). Bonnie is a faculty member of Aviva Institute, and has a busy clinical practice working in a hospital setting in Pennsylvania, working with a diverse and under served population.

Melissa Cheyney, Ph.D., CPM, LDM
is an Assistant Professor at
Oregon State University. She is the author of the upcoming book Born at Home: The Biological, Cultural and Political Dimensions of Maternity Care in the United States (2011, Cengage) and her research was recently featured in a Time Magazine article. In addition to teaching, she has a home birth practice in Oregon.
